The story of Jeff Bauman, a survivor of the Boston Marathon bombings who lost both his legs in the attack, is being developed into a film.

The movie will be an adaptation of Stronger, a book by Bauman and Bret Whitter that hit shelves in April. The book chronicles Bauman’s experience during the April 15, 2013 attack when he waiting for his girlfriend at the finish line of the annual marathon.

Two pressure cooker bombs exploded, killing 3 people and injuring more than 260 others.
