Man Struck Crossing Cranberry Highway

Wareham Police say a man who attempted to Cross Cranberry Highway Monday night is in critical condition.

Police say they received a report of an intoxicated man causing a disturbance at the Buttermilk Bay Inn around 10:30 p.m.

They then received a report that same man had been struck by a passing car.

The unidentified man was taken to Tobey Hospital and then MedFlighted to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police say the driver of the car has been cooperative and that the incident is currently under investigation.
