Man Says He Was Attacked And Robbed By Juveniles

New Bedford Police are investigating after an altercation with some juveniles left a man with minor injuries.

Det. Sgt. Victor Mendes says the 43-year-old Fairhaven man told police he was walking to a friend's house at 9:15 p.m. Thursday when he encountered a group of juveniles in front of 129 Pleasant St.

The man exchanged words with the juveniles and was, at some point, punched in the face and knocked to the ground.

Mendes says the man also reported that his wallet was taken.
