One man was hospitalized following an attack outside of a 7-11.

New Bedford Police say that at around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday a man reported being approached by three men wearing hooded sweatshirts outside the 7-11 at 1499 Acushnet Ave.

One of the men had a club and the other was carrying a baseball bat.

Then one of the men asked for the victim's valuables and when he said he had nothing, they struck him several times before fleeing west to Coffin Ave. headed to Ashley Blvd.

Police say that although the victim had no visible injuries, he had limited arm mobility and he was transported to St. Luke's Hospital.

The 31-year-old victim told police he could not identify the men in any more details because their hoods were over their heads.
