One man is under arrest in connection with a Tuesday afternoon robbery and shooting in Fall River.

Lt. Paul Santos says that at around 3 p.m. two men entered the Barber Shop located at 188 Davis Street and ordered a 39-year-old man to the floor before pulling a gold chain with cross from the victim's neck and fleeing the scene.

The victim chased them out of the store, and caught one of the suspects, identifed as 29-year-old Casey Tarushka, as he was trying to jump over a fence.

Santos says Tarushka then pulled out a gun, identified as a Taurus, 357 Magnum, 7 shot revolver, and shot the victim before he and his alleged accomplice fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Tarushka was located by police near the intersection of Albion St. and Donnelly St. and was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

He He is being charged with the following offenses:Armed Robbery w/ Firearm MGL Ch.265 S17; Carrying a loaded Firearm in Public without a License MGL Ch.269 S10N; Assault and Battery by discharging a Firearm MGL Ch.265 S15E; Discharging a Firearm within 500ft. of a Building/Dwelling MGL Ch.269 S12E; Possession of ammunition without an FID card MGL Ch.269 S10H.

Santos says an investigation is ongoing as it relates to the Firearm which was seized in this incident and other individuals who may be involved.
