Do you know the little white stick guy that appears on traffic signal lights to indicate that it is safe to cross the street? Yeah, that one. He is offensive to some college types. For real.

Campus Reform, a project of the Leadership Institute, which bills itself as "America’s leading site for college news" recently pranked some students and at least one faculty member at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Students were presented with a bogus petition seeking to have the iconic stick man removed from the traffic light because it is "offensive" and "oppressive." The petition read in part: "As we students cross the street, we are told by the symbol of a white man when it is okay to cross. Many students from diverse backgrounds, including individuals of color, gender fluid individuals, and LGBTQA+ individuals, feel oppressed by this."

Campus Reform says it had no trouble finding students and even one faculty member willing to sign the petition.

The willingness of so many students to sign the bogus petition banning the little white dude is frightening. It indicates how low the trigger level is for folks in search of something to be triggered by. It also shows a growing level of resentment of white men in some quarters which is purely political and left-wing driven.

These are the types of lessons being taught by academia in the modern age and parents ought to be concerned. For these are the lessens your little snowflakes are saddling themselves with tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt to learn.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.
