Ken Pittman Responds To Letter Written By Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

The federal prosecutors have released the letter written by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the interior wall of the boat in which he was captured.

The US Government is killing our innocent civilians but most of you already know that. As a [UI]* I can’t stand to see such evil go unpunished. We Muslims are one body, you hurt one you hurt us all. Well at least that’s how muhhammad (pbuh) wanted it to be [for]ever. The ummah is beginning to rise. [UI] has awoken the mujahideen. Know you are fighting men who look into the barrel of your gun and see heaven, now how can you compete with that. We are promised victory and we will surely get it. Now I don’t like killing innocent people it is forbidden in Islam but due to said [UI] it is allowed. All credit goes [UI].

Stop killing our innocent people and we will stop.

I’m jealous of my brother who ha[s] [re]ceived the reward of jannutul Firdaus (inshallah) before me. I do not mourn because his soul is very much alive. God has a plan for each person. Mine was to hide in this boat and shed some light on our actions. Sorry Dzhokhar but you are not exactly inspiring as one of the warriors of Islam. You aren’t “seeing heaven as you look down the proverbial “barrel of a gun” in a trial seeking your death. No, you are a shriveling coward who is in a quiet panic, begging for your life through your attorney. You are pleading for mercy from the court of a nation that took you and your family in and provided you with political asylum, shelter, food, clothes, utilities etc.

America is somehow the nation that you inexplicably turned on like a rabid dog and a nation whose citizens, even the youngest, saw none of the mercy that you now seek.

As I observe the coward you so obviously are, in the Moakley Courthouse, I realize that you were a former UMass Dartmouth student who walked and drove among us down here in Southeastern Massachusetts. I too had an eight-year-old Roman Catholic son named Martin when the Richard family, all brutally maimed by your bomb, could only grab at their own limbs and wounds while their son Martin bled out, mortally wounded in your “jihad”.

Your brother is not in heaven and there is no God that honors cut throat murderers who think they are justified because some guy who lived across the ocean over a thousand years ago and that you believe in, arguably gave you a loophole to be a psychopath.

I know you and your pathetic minions try to see a heroic underdog in you. But that isn’t your role. This was a gutless, rudderless attack against children, athletes and one of the most international audiences in Boston annually, which is odd since you wanted to target the United States specifically.

As a Christian, I believe Jesus Christ was the Son of God sent here to absorb the punishment of humanity with his own blood so that we may be cleansed of all sin and thus made presentable to God in heaven when we have exhausted our physical being and die off in this universe.

I also believe Jesus when he tells us that he would be the last sent from God, that no more prophets would be coming. (Parable of the tenants’ Matthew 21:33-46) So I do not believe Mohammed was a prophet of God. But I do respect another’s right to believe this.

I’m certain there are many Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims,and agnostic people who please God with the way they lead their lives. I believe they too will be judged perfectly. If you felt justified in your murders, you would not be now arguing for life in prison. You’d smile and walk to your death.

If I were you Dzhokhar, I’d start worrying. But you already have. Otherwise you wouldn't be trying to evade what you know deep down is waiting for you.
