Lakeville Woman Identified in Fatal Fall River Crash

The identity of the woman who died in a fatal crash on a Fall River highway early morning on November 17 has been released by authorities.

At 5:15 a.m., 37-year-old Christin Oliveira of Lakeville was struck by an F-150 truck on Route 24 just before Exit 8, when she allegedly crossed over the guardrail and ran into the left lane of the highway.

According to reports, the 44-year-old driver from Fall River was traveling northbound and could not avoid the collision, striking the woman.

Oliveira was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities have not said why the woman was walking on the northbound side of the highway.
