Last Friday, injured Patriots receiver, Julian Edelman, made his first appearance at practice since suffering a Jones fracture in his left foot in the team's Week 10 win over the New York Giants.Today, Edelman took the next step in his return to action as he practiced in full pads. According to The Boston Globe's Jim McBride, not only was Edelman suited up to go, but he looked "crisp and quick" in his first fully padded workout since breaking a bone in his foot.

The report also said that Edelman looked sharp in receiving drills and did not appear to have a noticeable limp as he practiced with his teammates. Both are positives signs that the seventh year wide out might be ready to return to game action, in at least a limited capacity, earlier than originally expected.

The former Kent State quarterback is just over four weeks removed from surgery to repair the break. The original timetable for his return was the first week of the postseason.
