Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester has been pitching pretty well this season, but he hasn't been getting run support from his team. On Saturday, that was a different story. Boston went into New York on Saturday afternoon with his team struggling. That didn't mean he was going to struggle. At first he seemed shaky, but turned things around pretty quick. The Red Sox would end the day with a 4-1 win over the first place Yankees.

The only run Lester gave up was a home run to Curtis Granderson in the fourth inning. He would go for 7 innings, and was backed up by the hitting of Adrian Gonzalez, who was 2-3 with 2 RBIs. David Phelps would take the loss for the Yankees.
