Chief White House economist Jason Furman said it is evidence that the economy recovery continues to unfold.  He called on Congress to take further steps to strengthen growth and accelerate job creation.

GOP House Speaker John Boehner said the economy still isn't creating jobs at the rate that was promised by the White House.  He called on the Democratic-led Senate to pass Republican House bills aimed at boosting job creation.
