Finding yourself OD'ing on transgender issues all of a sudden?

In the last week we've seen Boston hoist the transgender flag, (I didn't know there was one), above Government Center. Mayor Marty Walsh, a good Democrat was taught never to waste an exploitable minute.

We've also seen the legislative leadership announce an agreement on a Transgender rights bill.  I thought existing laws protected us all from discrimination. Whether RINO Governor Charlie Baker, better known these days as "Pander Bear" will sign the law is anyone's guess but I suspect he will.  After all, A.G. Maura Healy will determine whether male pervs are pretending to be transgendered in order to sneak a peak at the babes in the ladies room.

We've also learned that The U.S. Department of Justice, apparently while taking a break from investigating "e-mail gate" has determined that North Carolina is guilty of civil rights violations by trying to keep men out of the ladies room.

This week also saw the area news media fall over itself to praise a long time male Boston traffic reporter for having the courage to "come out" as a woman. I though courage involved battlefields or fighting cancer  and stuff like that.  I guess it's a new age.

Speaking of courage have you heard that 66 year old Caitlyn Jenner, the athlete formerly know as Bruce, will pose nude on the cover of Sports Illustrated? No kidding, it's all over the media.  Jenner, when she was a he back in 1976 received Olympic gold for setting a world decathlon record.  U.S. Weekly says Jenner will pose in the all together with an American flag to celebrate the 40th anniversary of that feat.

I have always believed that you don't allow others to define you by your sexuality and that you should never do it to yourself.  Jenner, probably a very nice guy, ah, girl is doing both and it is really sad because he has allowed a deeply personal issue such as his sexuality to overshadow the past and Sports Illustrated is only too happy to exploit the situation for a few bucks.

Jenner and many others with transgender issues should deal with those issues privately in dignified manner and not allow themselves to become spectacles for public consumption and profit.

It really is no one's business and frankly most of us don't care.
