Interfaith Service Remembers Immigrants Arrested In Bianco Raid
A service at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at St. James Parish this weekend wrapped up four days of activities remembering the 2007 Michael Bianco Immigration Raid in New Bedford.

20 Year old Luis Gomez will never forget that day. His mother, who worked at the Bianco plant and was pregnant, was taken into custody, and served about a month in jail. His father was later deported, and the family was in turmoil.
Gomez however kept plugging away. He graduated from Gr. New Bedford Voke Tech High School.
Gomez hopes to work as an electrician, but because his is not a citizen, he has yet to find a job…..
