Indictments Returned In Alex Silva Murder Case

Two New Bedford residents have been indicted in connection with the fatal stabbing of 22 year old Alex Silva of New Bedford last July.

Silva staggered into the South End Police Station on July 31st suffering from a stab wound. He told Police he had been robbed. Silva died two days later at Rhode Island Hospital.

A Bristol County Grand Jury on Friday handed down indictments charging 26 year old Marco Shane Ramos with murder, and 21 year old Amarylis Valera with unarmed robbery and accessory to murder after the fact.

Both are currently being held without bail. Their arraignment dates in Superior Court have not yet been set.
