New data shows that the average person checks their phone around 110 times a day. The number comes from the Android app Locket, which monitored the phone use of its 150-thousand users.

They defined "checking" their phone as activating the screen by pressing the home or power button, or unlocking the device. The app creators say users were most active between 5 PM and 8 PM, but that 24-percent of users still used their devices between 3-AM and 5 AM.

Locket says one user locked and unlocked their phone as many as 900-times in one day.
