Wine experts say when the weather is hot, you can expect to feel more of a buzz off a glass of wine.

Kevin Phillips from the Michael David Winery says excessive heat can quickly increase the sugars in grapes which means the alcohol content in a bottle of wine can increase from 14% to 16%.

While you may appreciate this, the winemakers do not. Phillips says they aim for balance in their wine and high tempertures can change all of that.
