After you open all those Christmas gifts, remember to recycle all that you can.

If you run out of room in your New Bedford recycling carts, the city has dedicated three locations for you to drop off excess materials.

Recycling Coordinator of the Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse Management District, Marissa Perez-Dormitzer tells WBSM's Phil Paleologos about what can be done with that pesky Styrofoam.

Drop-offs can be made between 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 27th and Saturday, January 2nd at the following locations:

  1. East Rodney French Blvd beach lot, between Hudson St & Seymour St
  2. Shawmut Avenue Transfer Station. 1103 Shawmut Ave
  3. Brooklawn Park, near Pony League Field, enter at Irvington St

You can also bring your Christmas trees to these sites, just remember to remove all ornaments, stands, lights, tinsel and bags.

Curbside collection of trees will take place between January 12th and January 16th.
