Embattled New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is being sued for allegedly shooting a man in the face.

The attorney for the alleged victim tells ProFootballTalk.com that the lawsuit is being re-filed after it was dismissed last week because of a mistake in the paperwork. The original claim incorrectly stated the victim had plates and screws inserted in his arm in addition to the right side of his face.

TMZ.com reports the incident happened after an argument at a Miami strip club. Hernandez is currently being investigated by police in connection with a murder in North Attleboro. (Metro Network Inc.)
