An effort to raise breast cancer awareness has drawn criticism on Cape Cod.

Firefighters in Barnstable and West Barnstable have been competing to see which department can collect the most bras and money. They have been hanging the bras off pink ladders outside their fire stations.

The bras from the Barnstable station were removed and replaced with pink ribbons. Those at the West Barnstable station are reportedly still there.
