A New Bedford man is arraigned after police execute two search warrants.

According to Det. Cap. Steven Vicente, New Bedford Police officers were able to obtain search warrants at two New Bedford addresses at Hathaway Blvd. and Washington Street in relation to 24-year-old Dana Ray Santos.

Police carried out the searches simultaneously on Friday night after Santos was seen leaving 119 Hathaway Blvd., part of the Parkdale Housing Development. He was arrested without incident.

During the searches, police found a .22 Alarm revolver with eight rounds of ammunition. Police also found 96 grams of cocaine, 8 grams of marijuana, 27 Oxycodone tablets, and over $3,000 in cash.

Dana Santos has been charged with trafficking cocaine within 300 feet of New Bedford High Scool, possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute, and several firearm offenses.

He was arraigned Monday in New Bedford District Court.
