General Killed In Afghanistan Is Identified
The officer killed in an attack in Afghanistan is being identified as Major General Harold J. Greene.
U.S. officials say Greene was killed when a man believed to be an Afghan soldier opened fire at a military academy in Kabul. More than a dozen other troops were injured in the attack, including eight Americans.
Greene was the deputy commanding general of Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan in Kabul. He is the highest ranking U.S. service member to be killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. (Metro Networks Inc.)
