Fire Damages Multi-Family Home In Taunton

Crews are still on scene following an early Thursday morning fire in Taunton.

A fire dispatcher tells WBSM News the fire was reported shortly after 1 a.m. at a multi-family home located at 43 Pine St.

Fire officials tell ABC6 firefighters were able to knock down the flames quickly but there is significant water damage to the home.

The building inspector went to the scene and declared the building uninhabitable displacing up to 12 people who are being assisted by the Red Cross.

No injuries reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
