A Friday night fire caused an estimated $130,000 in damage to a single-family home in Westport.

Fire Captain Brian Beaulieu says the fire broke out just before 7 p.m. at 98 Beechwood Drive.

Beaulieu says the fire was brought under control in about a half-hour, but firefighters spent another hour at the scene, overhauling the structure.  there were no injuries reported.

Fire officials say the fire was ignited when a stove was left unattended and the fire spread throughout the kitchen.

The occupants were assisted by the Red Cross, while Tiverton firefighters and crews from Dartmouth Fire District Two provided mutual aid.
