According to multiple reports, demonstrations in response to last night's decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, MO has spread across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

WPRI 12 reports that I-195 and I-95 were shut down due to protesters walking on the highway. Other protesters surrounded the Providence Police Headquarters. At least five people were arrested.

In Boston, The Boston Globe reports over 1,400 demonstrators gathered in protest. They made their way across the city. Some gathered outside the State House while others attempted to make their way onto the Mass Pike. Dozens of demonstrators were arrested by police.

Demonstrations in both cities remained peaceful, but did cause major traffic congestion and forced the closure of nearby hospitals and placed the Suffolk County Jail in Boston on lock-down.
