The father of the TV reporter who was killed on the air this week in Virginia says he wants to work with President Obama to enact tougher gun laws.

After meeting with his daughter's coworkers, Andy Parker promised to help Obama in the cause.

Alison Parker and her cameraman Adam Ward were shot to death by a disgruntled former coworker on Wednesday while doing a live shot on TV.

Parker remarked that if Obama could get the Affordable Care Act enacted and restart diplomacy with Cuba, he can get tougher gun laws in place too.

He also remarked that he thinks he'll have to get a gun because some people may take exception to the fact that he's pushing for tougher gun laws. (Metro Networks Inc)
