Fatal Accident in Middleborough

A Middleborough man was killed in a two-car crash in Middleborough Saturday night. Police say the crash took place on Route 44 near Everett Street around 9:15 p.m. A portion of the highway was closed in both directions for over three hours. 51 year old James Bragga was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and was pronounced dead a few minutes after the crash.

The driver of the second car was taken by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital and was treated and released. Middleboro and State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
