Fall River Murder Suspect Arrested

A Fall River man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in that city last weekend. According to the Bristol County District Attorney's office, 20-year old Brandyn Lapage was arrested last week in connection with the killing of Aja Pascual. The 31-year old Pascual was found dead inside her car on Cherry Street last Saturday afternoon.  She suffered from multiple gun shot wounds and investigators believe the shooter was in the car with her when the incident took place.

Lapage faces a number of charges included intimidating a witness and carrying a firearm without  an F-I-D card.  He has not been charged with the murder at this time. Lapage was arrested after police interviewed him and searched his Fall River home.

During the search, police located a gun. A dangerousness hearing has been set for Thursday in Fall River District Court. The investigation is ongoing.
