Fall River Man Gunned Down in Brockton

BROCKTON — A Fall River man was fatally shot in Brockton early Saturday morning.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that police found 31-year-old Marco Rodrigues, of Fall River, dead behind a building on Main Street in Brockton.

Brockton Police say a ShotSpotter alerted the department of shots fired in the area at around 1:45 a.m. Officers collected evidence throughout the early Saturday morning hours until multiple 911 calls came in at around 5:00 a.m. to report somebody had been shot. Police came across Rodrigues’ body shortly later.

He was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was officially pronounced dead.

Massachusetts State Police, Brockton Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office continue to investigate and ask anyone with any information on the shooting to contact detectives at 508-897-5234.
