Fall River Man Arrested in Connection to East Boston Killing
BOSTON (WBSM) — A Fall River man has been arrested in connection with an East Boston homicide, the second arrest made in the killing that occurred last month.
On Thursday, January 11, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit arrested Julio Ardon, 26, of Fall River for the killing of Wilfredo Landaverde Arevalo, 34, of Medford.
At the time of the arrest, Ardon was wanted on a warrant for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon issued out of East Boston District Court in connection with the homicide.
The charges date back to December 15, when officers responded to the area of 186 Gove Street for a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located Arevalo suffering from life-threatening stab wounds. Boston EMS transported Arevalo to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Ardon is expected to be arraigned in East Boston District Court.
Boston Police had previously arrested Edwin Mendez Hernandez, 20, of Everett back on December 22, 2023 on a warrant for murder in connection with with Arevalo's homicide.
