FALL RIVER- A fire broke out inside a multi-story building early this morning, injuring a firefighter and an elderly woman.

The fire was called in at around 3:00 AM at 47 Orswell Street, according to a report from NBC 10 News, where fire crews eventually reached the woman in her seventies on the third floor.

District Chief Sean Flannery says that the fire was brought under control quickly, but because of a number of belongings in the house fire crews were delayed in the process.

The injured firefighter was brought to the hospital to be evaluated, as well as the woman to treat her injuries. Conditions of both the woman and firefighter remain unknown.

There are no reports of suspicious activity at this time.
