Fairhaven Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Jeep Cherokee involved in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident this week.

Sgt. Kevin Kobza says the accident happened Monday afternoon around 1:30 at Bridge and Green Streets in Fairhaven, and left the pedestrian with serious injuries.

The Jeep Cherokee was last seen heading south on Green street.  The vehicle is described as a black, box-type model with large tires.
