Fairhaven Man Arrested for OUI Drugs Following Accident

A Fairhaven man was arrested for OUI drugs following a motor vehicle accident Monday near 30 Swift St.

When police arrived, they determined that Anthony Nunes, 56, of 9 Brown St., Fairhaven, had been driving one of the vehicles. Through their investigation, it was determined that he was under the influence of drugs.

He was charged with OUI drugs and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. An immediate threat of license revocation was submitted to the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

The incident was reported at about 6 p.m.
