A popular Fairhaven cafe is closing its doors. After three years in business, The Narragansett Star Cafe will close at the end of this month with owner Lori Shubert moving to Key West, Florida to work for a franchise group. Shubert say that she had been having trouble renegotiating the lease for the cafe's Huttleston Avenue location when the offer came for her to move south. In Key West, Shubert will help open an ice cream shop using her own homemade ice cream and cupcake recipes. The shop, called "Two Scoops", will be attached to the Five Guys franchise, which is opening a new location in the Florida Islands. She'll leave for Florida at the end of the month.
