Thanks to Professor Mel Yoken, The Boivin Center for French Language and culture at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth presented a concert of French songs by world-famous vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, Eric Vincent, Monday evening, Oct. 20. Before his performance, Eric Vincent dropped by the Midday Magazine and spoke with me about how his songs have incorporated everything from James Taylor songs with French lyrics to jazz, rock and ethnic rhythms.

Eric Vincent has entertained audiences around the globe, appearing in more than 140 countries and 50 states. He is considered one of the best contemporary singers of chansons francaises. We spoke about his early beginnings, how he met his wife, his life as an entertainer and the fact when he's not on the road, he and his wife live on a barge in France. If that surprises you, you'll also be pleasantly surprised to hear the thoughts and music of one of the world's most acclaimed singers!
