Does Donna Summer Belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? [POLL]

The 2013 inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame will be announced today. The list of nominees includes Donna Summer. Donna is almost certain to be elected this year and once again (it seems like we debate this every year) I have to wonder if this is the right thing to do. Wasn't she the Queen of "Disco?"

This isn't the first time we've had this debate. A number of soul singers and funk groups have already been elected. Hall of Fame members include: Aretha Franklin, the Supremes, the Four Tops, Gladys Knight and Parliament Funkadelic. Based on those members I would have to vote for Donna Summer but shopuldn't we just have a Music Hall of Fame?

Other nominees this year include: Chic, Deep Purple. Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Albert King, Kraftwerk, the Marvalettes, Randy Newman, NWA, Procol Harum, Rush and Public Enemy.
