New Study Says Parenting is not a Full-Time Job
Wait a minute! This is not my claim, I'm just reporting what I read today.
The Daily Mail reported on a study that found the average parents spends 28 hours and 9 minutes a week taking care of their children and family, saying that adds up to a part-time job. Here's the breakdown:
--Eight hours and 36 minutes entertaining the kids.
--Four hours and 48 minutes cooking.
--Three hours and 38 minutes doing chores.
--And less than two hours each on: making beds, washing up, driving the kids to school and activities, helping with homework, running errands, and taking care of pets.
Not surprisingly, parents aren't buying this. 92% of the parents surveyed said that having kids is ABSOLUTELY a full-time job.
