Deadly Crash In Swansea

Two people were killed and one person injured after a crash Thursday night on Interstate 195 westbound in Swansea.

Troopers responded to the accident at 11:10 p.m. to find the vehicle engulfed in flames.

Massachusetts State Police say the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

A young man and a young woman were found deceased in the vehicle.

Another young man was found alive outside the vehicle and transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

The incident is being investigated by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and State Police Detective Unit for Bristol County.
