When it comes to brewing beer you can do it pretty much anyplace you want, you can even make it in your basement.  When it comes to wine that is a different story.  With wine you need the right place for a vineyard and a climate that grapes will grow in.  You know about Napa Valley and vineyards in the Northwest plus a few scattered about Southern New England.  There is one vineyard that has been around for about 15 years and is starting to put itself on the map.  It's Dartmouth's Running Brook Vineyard, the vineyard is the brainchild of Pedro Teixeira and Manuel Morais.  The two who are originally are from Portugal met here in the United States they both had a passion for wine and the rest as they say, is history.  Over the years the Running Brook has fine tuned some excellent wine, they offer a selection ranging from their Vidal Blanc to Chardonnay and even some Merlot and Pinot Gris.  It's nice to see local winery's attracting attention and producing some delicious wine. Running Brook Vineyards is located at 335 Old Fall River Road in Dartmouth.
