DARTMOUTH — Two people were arrested in Dartmouth on Wednesday as the result of a search warrant.

Members of the Dartmouth Police Detective Division, assisted by members of the Bristol County Sheriff's Department Warrant Apprehension Team, executed a search warrant at 553 Dartmouth Street.

During the search, detectives recovered 7.6 grams of suspected Fentanyl, along with a small amount of crack cocaine.

As a result, Dartmouth Police arrested 33-year-old Nicholas Azeredo and charged him with possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug (fentanyl) and possession of a Class B drug (crack cocaine).

Also arrested on a separate warrant was 31-year-old Tanya Gaudreau.

"I am very proud of the efforts put forth by my detectives in getting not only this dangerous narcotic off the street, but also the person responsible for its distribution," Acting Police Chief Brian Levesque said.

The investigation was led by Dartmouth Police Detective Derek Sousa.
