Dartmouth Man Charged With Indecent Assault Of A Child

Dartmouth Police arrested a 26 year old Dartmouth man for allegedly assaulting a minor.

Police responded to an Oliver Street address after getting a call from a concerned neighbor regarding a past sexual assault on a minor. 

After an investigation Police arrested Quentin Ponte of Oliver St. In North Dartmouth and charged him with indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and assault with intent to rape a child.  He was arraigned on those charges in New Bedford District Court.

Dartmouth Police and the State Department of Children and Families are investigating the incident.
