Dartmouth Man Arrested Following Stabbing At Westport Eatery
One man sustained stab wounds following an altercation at a Westport eatery on Sunday.
Sergeant Christopher Dunn says police received a call that a belligerent man arrived at Joe's Cafe around closing time and stabbed a tire with a knife when he was told to leave.
Dunn says the man, identified as as 26-year-old Jesse Morrow of Dartmouth, then allegedly stabbed another man when a group of employees tried to make him leave.
Morrow is also accused of trying to kick a police officer following his arrest and Dunn says he resisted so much during the booking process they had to a apply a drive stun to his leg.
The victim sustained a six to eight inch laceration and was treated at the scene by Westport Fire Department personnel.
Morrow was held on $5,000 bail on charges including assault with intent to kill and resisting arrest.
