The celebrations for Dartmouth's monumental birthday are still in full swing.

Sunday's parade drew hundreds of people and offered quite the display. The crowd was full of town residents as well as people from out of town.

Richard came from Mattapoisett to get a glimpse of this historic parade...

Over 1,000 participants marched down Slocum Road and towards Saint Mary's Church marking the town's largest parade. It featured local high school marching bands and athletes, floats, bagpipers, and plenty of candy for the kids.

The next major even to come will be the fireworks display at UMass Dartmouth. The display scheduled for July Fourth had to be postponed due to weather.
