As Dartmouth celebrates 350 years of incorporation as a township this year, thousands of people took advantage of bringing history to life with a re-enactment of the Incorporation/Land Sale by middle school students at Apponagansett Park yesterday. It was a personal pleasure to broadcast live from the event that was filled with festivities!

The live music, huge 350th birthday cake, Brothers of the Brush Beard contest and a spectacular display of fireworks, the picture perfect day will be long remembered. The children in attendance, looking ahead 50 years from now to the 400th anniversary, will be able to pass the torch and say also they participated in the 350th celebration.

This Sept. 7, the celebration continues with an extraordinary 350th Parade that promises to be one of the grandest displays of floats, pipes & drums, marching bands, Clydesdale Horses, sports leagues and so much more!
