While the rest of New Bedford's Ward Councillors went unopposed, Ward 4 went to incumbent Dana Rebeiro.

Rebeiro beat out former Ward 4 Councillor Joseph "Jo-Jo" Fortes in Tuesday's election with 1,012 total votes at 53.97%.

Fortes received 849 total votes at 45.28%. For those wondering the remaining .75% were write-ins.

Rebeiro tells WBSM News she intends to run for one more term. She plans to start two "legacy programs" that will train newcomers to the City Council, allowing an easier path for new faces to City Hall.

This will be her second term as Ward 4 Council.
