Crash Kills Pedestrian in Raynham
RAYNHAM — Chief James Donovan reports that the Raynham Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred last night involving a pedestrian.
On Saturday, Dec. 29, at approximately 10:41 p.m., Raynham Police received a report of a pedestrian struck on Route 44 east, near IHOP.
Upon arrival to the scene, police located 24-year-old Luke Cosgrove of Norton, who was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
An on-scene investigation indicated that the victim was on foot in the travel lane when
a 60-year-old woman from Taunton, traveling east on Route 44 in a 2012 Toyota RAV4, struck him. The driver was not injured and remained on scene.
The incident is under active investigation by the Raynham Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
