Its a lengthy agenda facing the City Council Thursday night.

One of the items is a motion by Councilor Linda Morad to have School officials appear before the Council's Finance Committee to answer questions about the alarm system at Keith Middle School.

The alarm was not working earlier this month when two adults and 11 juveniles allegedly broke into the school and vandalized several areas.

Councilor Morad says taxpayers have a right to expect the alarm system to work...

Also before the Council on Thursday will be two motions to honor former WBSM Newscaster Jack Peterson, who died last month.

Councilor Brian Gomes is suggesting a softball field at Buttonwood Park be named for Peterson, while Councilor Henry Bousquet and others want a lot between Ruggles and Greenwood Streets to be transformed into a dog park, and named in honor of Jack Peterson.
