Council President Martins Grateful For Chance To Lead

Ward Two City Councilor Steve Martins is wrapping up his year long term as New Bedford City Council President. Martins says several colleagues asked him about serving a second year as President, but Martins says he’s looking forward to representing his Ward Two constituents in 2013.

Martins says the Council dealt with more than 1,300 items in Committee and during regular Council meetings during the last year. He said he was grateful to his colleagues for giving him, at 28 years old, the chance to lead the Council.
