City and State officials gathered Monday at City Hall to sign a cooperation agreement for the construction and use of the $100 million Marine Commerce Terminal to be in  Bedford's South End. 

The Terminal is expected to make New Bedford the hub for offshore wind development in the North Atlantic.  Ground breaking is expected within the next 30 days or so. The Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Rick Sullivan, says the project is an investment in the economy of this area....

The agreement outlines areas where the state and city will collaborate to support the proejct, including transportation investments, job training and supply chain development.
