Two adults and eleven juveniles will be charged in connection with the break-in and vandalism at the Keith Middle School.
The school department identified the two adults as 18-year-old Roger Abreau and 20-year-old Aires Ross of New Bedford.
The 13 suspects are accused of breaking into the school on either Saturday August 2nd or Sunday August 3rd and committing acts of vandalism which include defacing interior walls and floors and damaging equipment.
School officials say they are compiling a cost estimate for the damages and plan to seek restitution.
The suspects will face charges including breaking and entering and malicious destruction of property.
The alarm was not working at the time of the break-in but school officials say it has been repaired and is now operational.
Jason Defalco, the Chief Academic Officer for New Bedford Public Schools, says the students could also face disciplinary actions.
