Cemetary Vandalism

Eight gravestones at the old Sacred Heart Cemetery on Mt. Pleasant Streeet in New Bedford, including some that date back to the early 1900s, were vandalized.  Police say the vandalism was reported about 8am Monday morning by a city worker but occurred sometime last week. Detective Capt. Steven Vicente says that 8 stones were knocked off their bases.
